Dreamworlds: A Minecraft Adventure Game
« on: July 11, 2011, 02:37:24 pm »

Dreamworlds, as the title states, is a Minecraft Adventure.
This isn't a succession or anything, just a 'I say what actions the character does and you decide what actions he does next' thing.

NOTE: I'm playing using Minecraft 1.7.3 with an unlicensed copy. If you can't take it being unlicensed, don't bother posting.

Rules:
Put your decisions in bold.
3 lives. 3 respawns. After that, I delete the world.
You can craft anything.
You can farm.
You can only get around the water via boat.
No swimming.

And now, let our story begin...

You wake up to find yourself outside your village, in an unknown area that you've never seen. Of course, there's alot of areas that you've never seen considering you've never even went outside the village walls.

You're scared out of your mind, you don't know where your village is, and the terrain is mixing in between a mountain and a large area of sand called...What is the word...Desert.

Well, might as well start your journey. What do you plan to do first?

Purchase a licensed copy of the game.

After that, build a marker out of sand so we know where we started, then explore a little (building similar markers along the way) and get a better idea of our bearings.

After an hour of deciding what to do, you build a small marker out of the sand around you.

After sitting around for another hour, you decide it's best to survey the land and see if there are any dangers.

Will you take:
North, where there are some impassible mountains,
South, which has a few hills, plant life, trees, a small lake and the mountain you can hardly see,
East, where it is mainly a part of the desert plus another mountain near,
Or west, where it is the same as the east, except with the mysteriously floating sand?

North. Let's dig a cave.

With our bare hands? Find a few trees and punch them down.

After fighting between which direction to go, you make the final decision to go north.

After taking a few hours looking around, you find that some of the rocks on the side of the mountains have small black specks on them, maybe they tell you something?

Nonetheless, you see that the sky is darkening and that you are beginning to get cold. If your going to dig a shelter, you're going to need something to dig it out with. Luckily, you are skilled in woodworking and mining and have no problems finding a tree and bringing down, craft a small workbench, break the wooden planks you make out of the wood and turn them into sticks, then make a pickaxe. It's not the strongest, but it will do nicely.

While you were on your way back to the mountain, you spotted something strange- something green that had no arms, but 4 legs, and something else that was humanoid shape, had little to no flesh, and carried something in its' and on its' back. You took caution in avoiding them while you were building your small shelter.

----WELCOME TO DAY 2----

Lives Left: 3.

Health: 10.

Although you slept on hard rock, you had a good nights' sleep in your small shelter. You awake to find that another green creature with four legs have appeared near your shelter and chased you. As you were running away from it, you trip and it caught up to you and exploded, although you were lucky that you didn't take any damage from it.

Now, you must plan for what you will do today. What is it that you will do today?

Run around cutting up cacti. Replant one on the ground where you found it each time. Also grab sand. When you get back to the cave, cover the area with sand and plant your cacti as a defense. Huddle in the cave and clutch the wooden pick for all you're worth, fighting to keep down your rising panic.

This is actually a dead game now.

Of course, that doesn't mean I won't start a new one.

D:

So sad, stillborn forum game. This is why we typically wait one full lunar month to name a forum game, then carry it around the hearth three times and out the door, then cover its face and bring it back in. Forum game mortality is just so high, we can't bear to get attached until we know it will survive.
