Just re-installed Oblivion, shove some nice mods my way.
« on: June 18, 2011, 01:55:49 am »

Just what it says on the tin, I would like you folks to give me some nice Oblivion mods. It doesn't matter if it requires OBSE or OBMM, just give me some.

I really hate to be that guy that whines about using the search function,

but all three of those threads were related to (if not outright dedicated to) Oblivion modding, and I'm fairly certain there's a couple more that a cursory search didn't reveal.  :P

(Also, when in doubt: Head over to TESNexus, and do a search on all mods, sorted by either rating or download count.)

FCOM and BOSS.  You'll need wyre bash, probably mopy, maybe obse, and then I'd suggest lame and lame races.  Prepare to spend way to much time to do this.  hahaha

TEH NUDE MODZ

Or, just get Nehrim (google it). That's all you need. All other mods suck.

Craftybits OBSE.

The latest version can be found: http://thewormhole.nfshost.com/forum/index.php/topic,1223.0.html

We're testing the latest version, and if you help us test it, even a tiny bit, you get many more features from it before we get 8.0 out (likely never due to Skyrim)

Features include:

Mining, smithing, smelting, woodcutting, bowmaking, hunting, skinning, cooking, shearing, tailoring, crafting, pottery, bees/honey, trapping, farming, gem cutting, gem crushing (for alchemy), extracting gems from jewellery, fletching and a medium sized village on the Niben river with piles of NPCs and facilities.

Yeah, Nehrim is great. The first part kind of sucks, but after that it is lots of fun. It's like an entirely different game, I just wish that the narrations could be in english. Eh, the German with Subtitles is good too :)

Just pretend that it's located in the Germany of Cyrodiil.
Or, for that matter, that it's literally located in Germany.  :V

If also own morrowing, you could look into morroblivion. What it does:

-It lets you play morrowind in the oblivion engine.
-It lets you also play oblivion without having to manipulate your installs. Your character can go from one to the other.
-It is compatible with just about every mod for oblivion. The ones that affect all the oblivion characters and locations only affect the oblivion parts, and one ones that affect the game rules and mechanice affect both parts.

Yeah, especially the first dungeon. My god, it just dragged on and on. The last thing I want to do when booting up a new RPG is to get stuck for a few hours wandering around in a dungeon.

Rest of Nehrim is damn dope though and makes up for it.

Is morroblivion a pain to install? Whenever I end up installing Oblivion + Mods, it takes me hours and hours to get everything working perfectly. The sane thing would be to use less mods, but I haven't learned better. If morroblivion is relatively simple to install, I might try it out.

Personally I'd rather just play Morrowind with enhancements rather than run Morrowind in Oblivion's engine.
