Well I don't see how the watcher would be pleased with any lynch, as it would bring the game a step closer to closing earlier then intended, but letting scum take hold isn't on my list of things to do.

Watcher, or cult leader. Somebody said earlier that the townie would be a perfect target for the cult leader because he is protected from both lyncher and assassin. He could also benefit from knowing the mafia/SK by grabbing the ally/brother. So that is five people that any cult leader would want to keep in the game until he can convert them, and enough reason to want to avoid a lynch today.

While I would prefer not to lynch the watcher, because no good comes of that for anybody but the watcher himself, there is also no loss for anybody. Were we to stop the cult leader on day 1, he never has a chance to build an army.
