< Plot: reason for invasion: energy. who needs oil when hell is literally ON FIRE, ALL THE TIME. You can just pump some water down there and be on geothermal forever. And portals can be opened anywhere, even in small subs, and nobody care if hell is polluted. It's an energy thirsty governments wet dream.
