You spend about three hours helping Sonerohi drag your cache to the clearing. After that, you attempt to help Choobakka with building a shelter, but mostly just carry stuff and get in the way.
Darvi: Craft wooden tools (2).
You spend the afternoon digging splinters out of your fingers, pulling thorns out of your palm, and cursing at wood that splits in odd angles. No real damage is done, though, and you now have a long handled wooden spade to show for your work.
Sonerohi: Carry stuff to clearing, gather small pieces of basalt(10).
You spend about three hours helping Scriver haul your loot to the clearing. After that, you look at some flattish spots in the ground that are mostly basalt. You dig out many pebbles, and a couple of fist sized pieces.
Choobakka: Build the shelter (3).
You immediately set to work with a few vines, some of the boards, and some of the large branches. After Scriver knocks your first couple of attempts over, you set him on the task of hauling stuff to the "worksite". It takes the entire afternoon, but you've built a sturdy lean-to.
Askot: Gather firewood and tinder (7). craft a bowdrill kit (1). Make a fire near the spring (1!).
For a couple of hours, you gather dry sticks and brown needles to make a fire. It's boring work, but it has to be done. After you put the firewood in the burgeoning cache near the spring, you sit down with the old boots and a couple of sticks. The first lace from the old boots snaps at the first pull, but the second one is much more sturdy, and holds out. Eventually, you make your bowdrill and set about starting a fire. There is a small, rocky patch near the spring that will do nicely for your fire pit. You dig it out a little bit with a large stick, and then start to make the fire. Apparently, one of the sticks you gathered had a touch of pine sap on it that you didn't see. When you get your first embers started, it flares up, taking your left eyebrow off. Thankfully, you're right next to a fairly clean source of water. Singed and irritated, you decide to hang out for the rest of the afternooon. (-.2 Health.)
Burnt Pies: Sharpen metal tools (3)
You spend hours grinding away at the hatchet, knife and spade. As you sharpen, the wear shines through on the blades. They are chipped and pitted, but you manage to get them in a little bit more workable condition. They're not much better, but they're better enough that the difference is noticeable.
Cache: 5 thorny vines, 17 large branches, 16 rough boards, small rusty metal box [100 rusty nails], 10 logs, very old weatherworn military issue boots (no laces), rusty hatchet, rusty ka-bar knife, spade, fist sized lump of magnetite, 30 basalt pebbles, 3 fist-sized pieces of basalt, firewood and tinder (4 days).
