It could be worse; a while ago, somebody got the randomly-generated fort name Lovecrafts.

Besides, that name suggests that there will be metals mined there. Always a plus!

Your mission is clear. Build a contraption (of metal, of course) that maims and mutilates dwarves before finally killing them and dumping them into a lava pit.

Usually it's elves, rather than dwarves, being sacrificed.

Bonus points if you have a god of magma, and only sacrifice dwarves that don't worship him/her.

If dwarves decided to live in trees like hippies, they'd still do it better than the elves.

This is a well-crafted fort name. It menaces with spikes of dwarven irony.

Thanks for the suggestion, but Number4 is correct: [...] it would be easier and more predictable to just be a racist.

Did somebody just rule 34 two veins of metal?

As long as we're talking about abhorrent death machines, may I make a shameless plug?

Naw, you gotta have a huge pit to drop things in, with lots of floating spike traps to shred them to pieces as they fall, then have a pool of magma at the bottom (alternately an eerie pit if you have access to it). Then drop goblins, humans, and especially elves into said pit and watch as the !!FUN!! plays out.

I'm afraid I went in a more industrialized direction. Making 4 huge multilevel underground towers of industry. around a central living silo.

Each "tower" has a middle floor with workshops, above it several floors of material storage.
Below floors of finished products, sorted by quality.

There have been several sacrifices involved in the construction of the sub-terran water resevoir for the living column.

This is close to what Lagslayer said.

Make a tube of floating traps (Remove constructed floor without remove trap) going down into an eerie pit. Throw elves in.

Bonus points if they fall through magma on their descent to Armok.

LIES, random names are never 2 part(i.e. Somethingsomethings, The something of something), unless you go into the change name part and start fiddling around, and then it is no longer exactly random now is it?
