Damn, how did you people get so far already? I just managed to beat the Eye of Cthulhu.. Well, more like stomped on. Got a nice blood butcherer.

OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

Personally, I'm using an old nearly-full-hallowed character to dick around and see what new stuff I can find. I imagine other people are doing the same.

No? It means I don't have to slog through hours of doing things I've already done, finding little of interest in the early game to be able to...dick around with a nearly full-hallowed charater to see what new stuff I can find.

2. Mobs can never break doors unless it's a blood moon.
Some mobs can knock the door open regardless, actually.

Like, say. Shroomzombies. Near as I can tell, anyway.

Re: Light: Shine potions are pretty easy to make and last a while. Though... I forget what you use to make them. Blinkroot and something. If you can find a flaregun it becomes pretty trivial to keep things lighted if you don't want to use torches, too.

And re: server info: Forsaken noted he's at work, iirc, and it'll be a bit before responses are thrown out. Someone else giving out the password would probably be non-kosher, yeah.

@ Critter-that-found-chlorophyte: Mix it with glowing mushrooms! Tell us what shroomite can do~

Awesome, found an old world save with a bit of Hallow gear in a chest, even if I don't have my main any more. Looks like we're waiting on server info until forsaken gets on/someone kind passes it along/if he actually posted the PW in his thread for some reason.

Aren't bosses supposed to leave if you die? Because the Brain of Cthulhu doesn't. When he kills me and I respawn, he just teleports over to my house so he can kill me again.

Shroomite is only craftable into armour. The armour is ranged - the three helmets are for bullets, arrows and rockets. So I guess there's some kind of rocket launcher available, or it's referring to generic projectiles e.g snowballs from the snowball cannon.

Okay, so some notes on some new armor.

Chlorophyte armor: Better than Hallowed armor defence, and ups melee and critical rate
-Full set bonus: Giant crystal flies above your head that shoots nearby enemies for around 40 damage


Turtle Armor: Highest Defence value I can find. bumps up melee and critical rate. HOWEVER, each piece makes it more likely that enemies will attack you than anyone else.
-Full set bonus: All damage done to you is reflected back at the attacker (100% of damage), but the damage done to you is still gets reduced by your defence, while the enemy does not get it reduced AT ALL
