Seriously, the behavior of my dwarves is astonishing right now.

Over the past 2 seasons more than a dozen dwarves have bled to death for no real discernible reason. I simply find them at the end of a long trail of blood, and before the long trail of blood I see a long trail of their clothing. The clothes are clean (though I dump them anyway in case of FB contamination) and the dwarves were all happy/ecstatic just before their odd demise.

The only conclusion I can come up with, is that they are partying too hard.

The scissors in your stocks are too sharp; Dwarfs are prone to run with them. Make your scissors more blunt and you'll have less bleeding deaths.

Dwarves have no tools except anvils, axes, and picks.  It is the beard which performs all the wonders of Dwarven Industry.  Therefore, your beards are too sharp.  Please dull them.

Also, check their health status.  Via their personal details AND their health screen.  They may have suffered melting fat or FB toxin at some point.

I'm assuming you don't have magma mist or combat logs. It could also be wet dwarves being near high temperatures, though I don't think we've heard of the 'acid rain' bug still causing deaths.

Only if the temperature were high enough to kill them while dry, I think.  Dwarves don't naturally achieve such temperature unless directly exposed to magma or a breath attack.

Nothing appears in the combat logs. I've been doing periodic checks on the health panel to look for a cause and haven't really seen anything.

As for the temperature, I don't think that's the case, all the dwarves involved are the ones I have above the cavern layers for trade, so unless it somehow got really hot up there they should all be fine.

They are all recent immigrants though. So I'm sticking with my party hard/hazing ritual theory.

If you appointed a Captain of the Guard and failed one or more mandates, the good Captain may be doling out punishment. Check the Z -> Justice screen.

Ah, finally caught one in the process of doing it.
It wasn't FB blood, it was FB venom. They handled corpses filled to the absolute brim with the stuff. I mean full. One guy was injected slightly more than a dozen times before the bites killed him, so he was positively swimming with the stuff.
