The Pantheon: a god wiki.
« on: May 14, 2011, 05:04:22 pm »

http://thepanthon.wikia.com/

I'm making a wiki solely to collect all non-fictional intent gods.

Fictional intent gods are gods made solely for media (fictional religions) or to prove a point.

Basically its a list of gods.

That's a noble deed, indeed. And you are? I mean I don't care about the information explosion, and lots of garbage in my searches as it is. But what does this wiki intend to add to the Internet? Have you, perhaps, in the course of many years of research gained a new insight, some innovative, unorthodox knowledge on the matter, and, obviously, all other sites wouldn't accept it?

Has Wikipedia?

No, I imagine people behind it collect only well-established knowledge. So why can't Ninteen work together with Wikipedia? Surely, if he's got some new data, it'll be easier for other people to find (if his goal is spreading the information, indeed).

Fair point, though I don't think Wikipedia's existence is quite enoguh of an argument to excise every other information compilation site from the internet.

Not when we have wolfram alpha to do that! :P

But honestly, good luck, for every person, there is a million gods to entertain them.

Generally wikipedia cares only for notability.

As such, many gods of many religions are ignored entirely.

This wikia is solely about gods. No demigods, no monsters... Gods.

Wikipedia isn't a filter, it care about whatever you want it to care about, as long as it's verifiable.

Note: following the right group is a lot easier and productive than starting off and creating your own.

What do you think "failure" means?

And "everybody", while you are at that.

Well for starters, you failed to spell "pantheon" correctly in your wiki URL and title.

E key stuck.

But I guess you are right, Fuck this wiki. Obviously wikipedia means that this wiki is clearly obsolete, as Supermik and malimbar explained.

Logically rendering this wiki obsolete And this one and, well... This one two I guess...

But you guys won't bother with that, let's look for grammatical oversights and just use general "follow, don't lead" dogma.

Tell me, is there any wiki solely used to catalogue deities?
