You can't increase firing speed. At leeast, I don't think so. That's why gatling guns never work.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

I really hope something comes with the timing update but i doubt that will enable piercing projectiles anyway. Unfortunately i just don't think there is a reason beyond modding for Toady to add this at the moment.

Have you tried a trailing dust cloud? Lead dust as bullets, because dust does INSANE amounts of damage.

Hmmm... not sure if I want that. It'll just shove everyone then. I'll add it as a caste for now, though.

I need a way for the lead to pierce the skin, so it can deliver the boiling hot lead.

I think the problem is that it is hardcoded as a blunt attack.

I think it's liquid lead? From what it says about glob.

Yeah. I need an attack that has an edge.
Would increasing the max edge on lead help?

It's solid, and I'm not sure if I can define the edge. I'll check.

I'm adding the EDGE from the bolt's RAWs. I don't think it'll work, but it's worth a try.

I've tried before and it didn't. I think when you set something as blunt the edge definition doesn't make a difference.

Tossed in the raws for a bit of testing, and my turrets drowned immediately. Any idea why?
