Yes, but what Gamildum is asking in his post is not what the syntax of the token is, but if with CLUTCH_SIZE:4:15, does the creature have the same chance to lay 4 eggs as 5 eggs as 6 eggs etc., or if 50% of the time will the creature lay 10 eggs, 10% 9 or 11 eggs, etc.

As far as an answer, I don't have one, sorry. :\

It's the same chance. You're just as likely to lay 5 eggs as 15, RAWs permitting.

AFAIK the chances are even for all stuff like this, including attributes and other ranges of value.

IRL i think it would be a Gauss-like distribution... but I doubt Toady bothered with so much precision.

Really it is easy to guess. Up the number of starting points, embark with loads of egg-laying animals (preferably these that have a rather large variance in number of eggs layed by clutch), spam nest boxes, wait for your females to lay eggs, count the eggs by nest box. and do probabilities with it.
