Diamonds ain't got nothing to do with it. Bro just wants some bling to show off in his house.

Regarding the moddding process and graphics. I think they said no to specifically something along the lines of Minecraft player skins. Something other players can see on your character. Who knows the possibilities of clientside graphics modding.

Then why is nobody comparing Minecraft to DF? Aside from the obvious reason.

Because those that do the comparing like that wouldn't play DF due to its "REALLY SHIT GRAPHICS AND GAMEPLAY"............... Plus even if they got a graphic pack and could play with that they wouldn't even be able to live past the first season...

Your going to cause me to break out into a rant if we must go into the quality of DF, and a lot of traditional RL games for that matter, graphics. When a game goes into the detail of explaining that the fat on a creatures felt arm has melted off, how are you meant to graphically display that? You could kill all immersion and give it a full arm no matter what, but preferably you just tell them there is a guy there with a messed up arm, and them them figure it out!!!!

Ok, going to stop now before I need another post to fit it all in. Back to the topic at hand! This game does seem to have a much more unique focus then MC, and look forward to real fights, rather then closing a door and waiting for the sun.

Not if you're clever. I can think of a few ways trap them in a pit forever.

EDIT: Or until they despawn, if they do that.

The fact that they do does not mean it is the same thing. Have you fought zombies in MC? It's not exactly the most exciting thing ever. Killing stuff in this game looks a lot more fun.

Fireballs going through walls wouldn't be OP if imps couldn't see you through them. As it is though, yeah, a little. What most irritated me through this last part was that whenever he ran out of inventory space, PBat chose something to throw away... which was never a huge swath of cobwebs or one of the four 250 stacks of stone he'd accumulated on the descent. He's made use of one of them, but he could throw two of em away I think.

Also, he seems to have no platforming experience. He got hit by just about every fireball thrown at him - something anyone with even a basic experience in Metroid or a 2D Castlevania (or heck, even Mario) would have little trouble reducing to a third, at most. When he was placing blocks, for instance, I can't believe it was so hard to just time jumps to clear the fireballs as they came, especially from that distance.

If they made something as simple as sharpened spikes that hurt you when you fall on them...base defense would be a game type all it's own.
