Okay update time! Sorry for the long delay but I was really busy this week.

First off we start out with a birth. Specifically a Fallow/Siamese mix. More norns is always good.

Next up we have a Magma norn slaughtering a grendel in the desert. From what I saw the magma norn busted in and beat the thing to death in only a few seconds. Hope he passes badassery on to his kids.

We get ourselves a second birth quickly. Another Siamese/Fallow from the same parents. They certainly are a frisky pair.

Sadly an Astro/Fallow mix gets a lethal beatdown. R.I.P

We get our third birth this update.... ANOTHER Fallow/Siamese mix from the same couple. Jeez.

And now an ettin murdered our Magma/Zebra Mix. God dammit he was my favorite!

Fortunately we quickly get Zebra/Fallow mix. Certainly helps with the losses we've been taking.

And we get ANOTHER Fallow/Siamese mix. They're taking over!

On a slightly sad note, our local Astro Norn died while pregnant. Two for the price of one I suppose....

In a rare case of bravado the male Siamese norn murders a grendle. WELL DONE!

The Zebra/fallow mix drops dead in the hall. shit.

Our "Brave" Siamese drops dead from his fight injuries. Oh well, he had a ton of kids.

Last but not least, a Zebra/Magma mix is born!

Oooh can I suggest we make a Grendelin? (I think that is the name)

Or rather... Genetically combine a Norn with a Grendel later.

Can they even reproduce?

Its been done many times before. And they cannot reproduce most of the time.

Still disapointed they made Grendels and Ettins infertile.

If you can get a Norn reproduction capable Grendalin (preferably with Ettin because I like Ettins... though people would probably prefer Grendel and Norn) I'd be appreciative (if possible)

Hm, if Grendels and Norns hate each other, then how does the Grendel/Norn mix interact with everyone?  Is it a lone killing machine?

I guess it depends what "Smell" they produce.

Assuming of course they don't just produce "Grendalin" smells.

"Grendalins" generally attack anything. Problem is many of them suffer from a genetic defect that ages them rapidly. Birth to death in around 5-10 minutes on most. I had one once lated died in 10 seconds.

I'd imagine that sort of decreases the chances of them reproducing, even if they could.

Dang it would be tough to get successful Grendalins

I remember one Norn I had who got a genetic defect that required me to inject large quantities of Carbon Dioxide into his body so he could live or else he would slowly degenerate.

Mind you the most deadly substance in the injector is "ATP Decoupler". A single dose will kill any creature.

Actually the deadliest is cyanide.

You would think so wouldn't you? (goodness that sounds horrible now that I read it... MUCH less jerky when spoken) ATP Decoupler could only really be tied I guess.

Though my theory is that ATP decoupler is a substance that forces creatures to use energy and the reason if often goes unnoticed is because it isn't a poison. One dose is 10. So essentially in 10 frames they are dead.

Mind you I am going purely by memory where I tested each substance of Grendels. So by all means your likely correct.

ATP Decoupler literally "decouples" the ATP. If Norns were batteries, it would have the same effect as opening the battery up and taking all the acid inside out. It doesn't make it use the energy. It takes the energy away from the start.

So what it's doing is somewhat irreversably turning ATP into ADP and inorganic phosphate, then binding to either of these products to stop them re-coupling?

EDIT: Doesn't neccesarily need to bind to either of the products as you'd still be using lots of energy to regenerate the ATP, but it would make it's effects more pronounced.

It doesn't sound like it rebinds it to something else.

Yeah given that one dose will almost instantly kill a creature. I doubt it is rebinding.
