Are internet ads paid for by view, or by click? Because in all realism, with by 'by view' model, how the hell could the ads flop?

The ads were dropped because people didn't like ED's content. They were banned from Google's list years ago.

Apparently it was 20 bucks to get your add on the sight per day.

Eventually though not even the 'no questions asked' add gathering managed to get enough. ED's pages combined with the fact everyone uses add block shut down it down.

Yeah, they sorta got around that by making their own add gathering site. But even that was driven away by the content in the end.

Edit: Added link to add gathering site. You will notice it is a dead link. There is a reason for that.
