Bone Weapons

Topic Question: How are these rated in comparison to the metals, e.g. Iron, Bronze, Steel.

I've recently made a Red Dragon Bone Long sword. Specifically a Dragon bone blade, with a Lion bone hilt, and a handle wrapped in dragon scales. But this seems to have no difference in my damage that is being done. I was using a steel short sword before, and despite the weapon being made from a freaking dragon it doesnt seem to do any more damage than a steel short sword did. Have I made the right choice in chucking my old sword at an elephant and using this bone one, or have I messed up?

PS. I also have a full set of Lion Bone armor, how would that rank against a set of bronze/iron armor?

tl;dr: Bone is bad for basically everything.

Urist McChrist, it was not the worth the effort that I went through to get it. Oh well makes a nice trophy, also it made extremely quick work of the bogeymen I fought that night, killed them all in 1-2 hits, strange :/

Are you using genesis? If so then the bone for mega-beasts should be equivalent to good quality metal IIRC.

Yup Genesis. And I've just destroyed two Rocs without getting hit once, and a Cyclops who only knocked me over, and then as I was on my way home, attacked by Sand Lions, one bite to the foot, Adventurer is now training as a crutch walker. >.<

But it seems as though I don't get as much dismemberments as I did with my steel sword compared to the Dragon one, I might just be having no luck with the Dragon bone, but it doesn't seem to do as much damage.

Although, it did prove useful when I managed to fight off 6 Bogeymen with a combination of the sword and some kiting.

Bogeymen are very squishy. One or two hits with just about anything will kill them, assuming you don't hit the limbs. The primary issue with them is their speed and numbers. As for the Rocs and Cyclops, lucky hits? High weapon skill? can't do much with this little info.

no-quality training spears are about as effective as a limp noodle at doing damage
You forget that a limp noodle has a wobbly attribute to it. In fact, its characteristics and shape may liken it to a small whip made out of food.
In this sense, the limp noodle is a dangerous thing and should be slurped with extreme caution, lest your lips go flying off in an arc.

I pumped most of my points into swords, so now im an accomplished swordsman, the rest is adequate, I might of just got lucky with the Rocs, but managing to solo two of them without getting harmed is pretty strange.

bone armor is so so,good vs claws , crap vs iron.
the dragon bone sword is sady just not all that good as a weapon.
but as a trophy it rocks.
