CVLT Nation's top doom albums of the year.
I knew a few of these releases already, but the rest are excellent also and I'm glad to discover them.
An excellent assortment of music... even if, in my opinion, Primitive Man belongs more to the sludge genre than doom.
Their sludge and funeral doom end-of-year lists are worth checking out, too! I already knew most of the stuff on the latter, though.

Edit: I'm a bit sad/shocked not to see Windhand on the list, though.

It's also pretty dang great. This song, at least... it's probably less poppy. Pop-y? Popp-y? How do you parse that, in this context? Whatever.

I asked Cortana because I didn't immediately recognize it, but Cortana didn't know what it was either.

It sounds like it's being played backwards, and from the sound of it I'd suspect it might be the Beatles, but that's really just a WAG.
