Scandroid and Dance With the Dead are my two favourite synth artists. Klayton (the dude behind Scandroid) is a legend in general as well.

When I saw the title of the video, I was half-expecting a meme.

This is, however, a genuine song that was made. I believe it was part of a promotion for the Yakuza Series.

It's bitterly poetic that The Cranberries just recently released a retrospective album of mostly acoustic singles.

Anyway... went browsing around Youtube suggestions related to Scandroid, and rather like this one.

Hey SalmonGod.

This channel will main line you in to Synthwave: https://www.youtube.com/user/NewRetroWave

But also check out:

Daniel Deluxe
Bourgeoisie
DJ Ten
Dynatron
Flashworx
Lazerhawk
Rainsword
Mega Drive
Miami Night 1984
Mitch Murder
OGRE
Perturbator
Power Glove
Protector 101
Tommy
Waveshaper

A friend and I went on a tear looking for all the synthwave we could a year or two ago. Been listening to the same 14 hour playlist daily ever since :P

Other than that I've really been in to this Polish? DJ Zamilska. (Although I guess she doesn't like to be called a DJ and doesn't think she makes techno.) She did part of the soundtrack for the game Ruiner, and I've been grooving on the rest of her tracks since. She's somewhere between trance and industrial, about a 50/50 split I'd say, sprinkled with Hindu and Muslim bits, backed up with some really hard beats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P72CbnegXi4

Brut is on a whole different level imo, while the others play around with retro and produce good sound he sorta elevates it beyond the retro schtick into this wierd cyberpunky thing that's too damn good.

I suggest you check out the Hotline Miami and Furi soundtracks since he did thos and it's very much recognizeable that it's his style.

On a more classical retro note FM84 is pretty cool while Tycho has more of a chill approach.

Yeah, I'm liking Perturbator, too.  A little less sophisticated and varied than Carpenter Brut, based on 20 minutes worth of listening (Edit:  Nevermind... went from first album to most recent and there is massive improvement there).  But they both have the style that I find most satisfying in this genre.

Carpenter Brut is amazing. His Dust remix from Hotline Miami 1 isn’t just good, it’s brilliant.

In fact, almost all the artists on the HLM1 sound track are great. That was what really started me on synthwave. I was like “what are these  enchanting sounds and how do I get more of them in me.”
