One day I will be worthy of having this song as my soundtrack.
Or so I hope. It is something to aspire to!

(No scary metal stuff here, don't worry. Nothing but good times. You'll all like it I promise.)

So I saw Korpiklaani the other night, they're amazing. But by far, my favourite bit was when they kinda left the stage, everybody is shouting for more, the regular deal.

And then they come back with this.

Don't think I've been in a mellow mosh before, but this one was amazing.
I should listen to them more often.

Have some desert rock.
Anyone know of more stuff like this? I've been listening to Kyuss, Karma to Burn and Queens of the Stone Age (and a French band called Delko but that's not really the same style), but I'd love something a bit more on the instrumental side of things. Maybe I'm asking for too much here, I don't know, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Sounds like stoner rock or stoner metal. Looking at the description for Kyuss, they are listed as stoner rock, so...yeh. Same with Karma to Burn. Queens of the Stone Age is likewise listed as stoner rock. Not familiar with desert rock as a genre, but I've listened to some stoner rock albums I could recommend.

Recommendations:
Drone Hunter
Earth
Wo Fat
Sasquatch

Despite the genre name, one does not need to be a stoner to enjoy it. Fuzzy guitar riffs are nice. you could also search "stoner rock mix" or "stoner metal mix" to find compilations of bands you could check out.

Well, desert rock borrows heavily from stoner rock among others like psychadellic rock and heavy metal, according to the Wikipedia article, so yeah. :v

So I've been going trough the Builders and the Butchers discography over the past two days and I gotta say, they're pretty great all the way trough. Think I've been trough three albums and can't say I've found a song I disliked.
I did find some I really really liked though.
