Egg experimentation

I would like to make my hens lay dwarven children. Is this possible?

No, the unusual egg laying system uses a similar product scheme to reactions, and you can't create creatures through reactions.  At best you can get them to lay vermin - there was a thread around here recently where someone modded chickens to lay bees.  Even then it didn't work well, the bees were trapped in the nest box and vanished when the nest box was deconstructed.

Can you make dwarven children vermin?

(I think only Dwarf Fortress members ever think about making sentient children into vermin so that chickens can lay them instead of eggs.)
