it that's his action, and he rolls badly, then I'm polymorphing all his limbs off  :P

I suggest we take another tunnel.

Oh. Hmm. Damn.

Try to use chaos magic to make it so that the area around me isn't irradiated.

Preferrably away frum the party, in case of EF.

Problem: Chaos magic, no matter what type, irradiates you.

That means even if you succeed, you fail.

Ah, but the rest of the group is safe If I learn that spell, right?

Not really. You wouldn't learn a spell from that, since you aren't really using a spell; you're just moving the chaos around. And no, there's no way you could change that, since chaos magic isn't meant to be used like that.

Think of it this way: It's like Fire. Pushing fire off of someone on fire with fire magic isn't using a spell, it's just moving the fire off of them.

so basically you're giving us +something on our main rolls?
this is good, unless of course you fail miserably  ;)

if darvi is really going to do that, Get the hell out of that portion of the cave.
If not, do what I decided beforehand.

Ya know what? I feel like finding the dragon myself, just 'cause.
QUESTION: If I change the whole dragon's form (it's random, right?), will it be possible for it to become even stronger? Or is a Chaos Dragon the strongest thing possible?

EDIT:
QUESTION: Do chaos dragons need to have their heads/brains functioning?
QUESTION: is it possible to polymorph someone's head off/make it tiny?

I assume that it will be very hard to transmutate it.

At this point, I'm not cruel enough to make it impossible for you to kill.

However, it can get stronger while still being within reach for killing.

QUESTION: Do chaos dragons need to have their heads/brains functioning?
Yes.

Quote
QUESTION: is it possible to polymorph someone's head off/make it tiny?
No to removing it, Yes to tiny, if you don't get smashed or roll horribly. However, even with very little brainpower, the dragon will still be dangerous as it's a freaking dragon.

I assume that it will be very hard to transmutate it.
Indeed.

Also, you'll have to get fairly close to the dragon to polymorph it.

Spoiler: Also, as a sidenote (click to show/hide)

...
hmm ok then how about questions will be in purple, ok?
Can chaos dragons fly? (Probably yes, but for example DF dragons can't...)
Would I be able to trap the dragon (using major earth magic)?
How  does the dragon attack? (i.e. fire? chaos attacks? etc.)
Will polymorphing the dragon, while flying close to it, while it is trapped, work (in the possibility, not in the actuality)?
Can making a "shield" from the cave floor protect me/allow me to get close to it?

EDIT: yes, I like to twist rules in every way possible ;D

Yeah. They're dragons. What do ya think?

Quote

Yes, if you put a lot of stone in front of the dragon. Dragons are pretty strong.

Quote

Chaos dragons attack with both fire and chaos irradiation. And trust me, the radiation is no laughing matter as the amount blown will be fairly high.

Yes.

Not likely. The dragon will likely see you getting close making shields and blow fire and chaos at you even if mister Captain of the Guard gets in melee because dragons are decently smart. And if you fail getting a shield up, he'll likely just smash you, which will hurt.

1. ok then
2. "probably yes"  ;D
3. ok, cool. Can I do this from fairly far away?
4. Ouch... would this be deflectable back onto the dragon (shield/armor)?
5. cool.
6. I'll stay farther then, I think...
Will a random polymorphing of the dragon be able to turn it into a bug, or even at least a bear/whatever?
