so which ones do i change the 10 or the 24? i am not really sure what those two numbers mean, and do i need to gen a new world for the edit to take effect.

10 is the min age and 24 is the max age. Its simply a range of possible ages they can live.

10 is the minimum max age and 24 is the maximum maximum age.

Yes, the goose will never die of old age if you remove it. Elves and goblins have no age tags making them immortal too.

I believe that is hardcoded to 50. If you want more than that, you'll have to buy them off merchants.

Yes, but I don't think they affect creatures that already exist, since all creatures have their death by old age date calculated when they are born.
