Building Axles
« on: March 18, 2011, 09:26:48 am »

Currently, when one selects an axle to build, you need to switch directions if you want to build it north/south - you cannot simply hit the "u" key to extend it upwards. I have a suggestion on that matter.

How about when the axle is exactly one long, you can extend it either way? It still starts off in the east/west orientation, but if you extend it up it automatically switches orientation?

So to build a 2-high axle, instead of hitting b-M-h-s-u, you hit b-M-h-u.

Is that one keystroke so hard?  You want to stall the entire caravan arc so you don't have to press one more key?

That is a mean and unnecessary reply to a perfectly fine suggestion thread. No, it likely isn't going to be implemented any time soon.

As far as I know it would be MAYBE five lines of code...

But I see your point...

Wait until after the major changes are done before the minor ones, is that it?

To be fair, a line of code can vary in length and difficulty.  Some lines trail out entire procedures, some lines say x++; only.
