Give it time before you claim your prize. Be patient. It's free, afterall.

I already have Civ V. Is Mafia II any good? I've heard some rather mixed reviews.

It's like a more mechanically-complicated, more story-driven version of GTA with less things to do. Less arcade-y, I suppose. For me, it was pretty entertaining but I could definitely see how other people wouldn't enjoy it very much.

It has a pretty cool setting (mid 40's at the beginning and 50's later on, the former takes place in winter and is so. Damn. Pretty.), the combat system is pretty average cover-based shooting, the story is alright. You can rob stores at gunpoint, which can be pretty entertaining for a while if you don't feel like going through the story, but that aside there's not much to do in the actual city.

Just a heads up, for those who voted yesterday, the link you got in email should now work and you then will be emailed the keycode to activate your game.

One thing to bear in mind is that neither game comes with its DLC's. I'd wait until there is a big sale before picking them up, there is sometimes one around Halloween or else wait for the winter sale.

I got the "you're eligible" mail the second I voted, with the "click here to get your code" link in it, which told me I hadn't voted when I clicked it.

And now this, sooo I don't think I'm getting anything.

Ah thank you very much for posting this.

After seeing all the no receives I was ready to assume I got nothing.

On a side note Papers Please is on sale

And someone please tell me more about this game lol

It looks like a border patrol simulator and that is too funny not to purchase.

This has nothing to do with sales, but has anyone else noticed that their playtime for various games is much higher than it should be? For instance, Steam thinks that I have played Dungeon Siege (a game that I had running for 5 minutes before it crashed in the opening cutscene) for 65 hours. That's longer than I've played some games that I enjoy and play frequently.

From a quick look at a bunch of games that I've only played for a short period, it looks like around 40-45 hours have been added to all games recorded playtimes.

None of mine even show me played time. *shrug* Useless to me anyway, as often as I leave things minimized... but still.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

If it was the same as mine, the link that said you haven't voted also asked you to wait at least 24 hours for it to process. Mine started working after about 12 hours.

Yep, it's funny and I really like the puzzle-like gameplay. Recommended.

I did get my free Mafia II, btw.
