My Brief Story
« on: March 14, 2011, 05:58:46 pm »

I once decided to start a farm.  Usually I'll make them adjacent to a brook and then flood it in with the use of a floodgate.  This time, however, I noticed that the brook just froze, so I decided to open up the passage and THEN build the floodgate instead of ruining the appearance of the brook above by making a channel.  Guess what happened!  As soon as my dwarf dug it out, the river thawed, and flooded the room.

The farm a lost cause, it became a resource for my well.  Fortunately, I had already built doors to the room.  Whew!

I always make sure to put doors on every room, just in case something bad magma happens.

Or maybe there's a god who's just completely insane and sends you to Detroit, Michigan in a new body if you ever utter the name "Pat Sajak".
