More seriously, I've said this before, so I'll just quote myself here:

There are two political realites that one needs to come to term with:
- The Democrats are moderate conservatives, and entirely inept.
- The Republicans are extremist conservatives, but entirely inept.

Thus, the only way to get any liberal politics at all is to vote third party. It is not easy to realize that the democrats are not real liberals. We have too often heard pundits refer to them as socialists to realize that Democrats only look liberal in comparison to republicans- in the same way that a Manhattan streetcorner is quiet in comparison to Normandy beach on D-day.

You want to throw your vote away? Vote for a Democrat and get more of the same. For the last two decades at least, everyone who's voted democrat has recived nothing but the same sniveling groveling pandering.

I am boldy independent. I will never settle for a far distant second-best.

Be brave, and know that even if we are defeated, the republicans will be unable to achive anything because as soon as the democrats become a minority, they can paralize the congress the same way the republicans did.

Yeah, I've kinda started letting the parts of me that are still hopeful about Obama begin to wither and die. I stil think he's trying, but he seems to suffer from both a formidable amount of opposition and the classic lack of testicles that plagues all Democrats.

If only we could breed a politician who had the Democratic penchant for trying to do the right thing, with the Republican penchant for actually doing things and getting people to go along with it...he would be the Kwisatz Haderach of American politics.

Umm...did you pay attention from 2002-2006? The democrats may have been the most spineless minority in the history of the US Congress. They virtually stampeded to be the first in line to sign on to the resolution to give Bush preapproval for any war he wanted to start. Debates went something like this:

GOP: WE WANT TO EAT YOUR BABIES!
Dems: Um....y'know, we maybe think that woudn't be such a prudent course of....
GOP: TRAITORS!
Dems: Oh. Um....okay, would you like my child with mustard or mayo?

I never even had a problem with Gitmo.  But Obama just looks indecisive and weak.
