Kicked Out
« on: February 27, 2011, 02:27:14 pm »

I am a 4.0 earning college student.  The college is a nice 40 minutes away from my house.  I am driven from here to there by my parents, as I do not have a car.  My tuition is paid via my stepdad's GI bill.  I do not have a job.

Suddenly, shit happens.  I have until April 1st to move out.  I am no longer getting free cell phone, internet, rides or food.  I have my own computer, but a computer is literatly not a life.  I'm scared and have no idea what to do...  Any advice?

Well, first thing is first. Try to undo shit. Even if you still end up moving out, it is nice to be on good terms with family.
Next, you need some form on income. I don't know how the system works where you are, but over here we have a govenment office known as 'Centerlink' that helps with this sort of thing. Seek there aid. Then get a darn job! It's a nice thing to have.
No idea what you are going to do about collage fees beyond student loan.
No idea what t do about transport beyond the bus, but I reccomend using it.
As for some place to live, have you got any freinds at collage that are thinking of moving out, or have already moved out? Flat mates are a lot of fun! Seek them out for cheeper rent, and try to get a place close to your collage.

Murder is out of the option.  The flipside of this is that making nice is also out.  Not happening.

Working on getting a job.  I do not have any friends, or people for that matter.  Our school doesn't have a dorm system, since it's a 2.5 year thing.  I probably have to drop out.  I use the bus to get there on fridays and home on saturdays, but getting home friday is past last run and getting there saturdays is before first run.

Okay, speaking a little more seriously:

Find a part-time job next to the college and a roommate. What college is this?

I should be secretive with that knowledge, but one could find it with liberal ise of google anyways.  ECPI, virginia beach.campus.  I'll see if anyone is interested in rooming.  Any advice on going about that?

Welcome to the internet! Where all information is just a google away! I'm sure you can find room mates without too much trouble.

Does your college have any kind of councillors for these kind of things? Because even if the school itself doesn't have dorms, they might still have information on places to rent. Otherwise, maybe there's some kind of student organisation that keeps tab on people in need of room mates?
