True, but it barely recouped the cost of making it within the time period that producers and other investors care about...

I hate to say it, because I'd love for it to come back to life, but it's still on really shaky ground. Nathan Fillion wants to try to get the rights, so it might be started up again? That doesn't really surprise me, we've known for a long time that a good portion of the people involved in making it loved it, and were sad to see it all end.

Like I said, it's heartening news, but I'm not getting my hopes up until it actually happens.

I liked the back story for the Reavers. It really... I don't know... just made them for me.

Yeah, the Reaver backstory was a bit of a wallbanger, but ultimately, they had to try to wrap up all this shit they started with the TV series but never got to do, all in about the equivalent of two episodes. I hope that wasn't the original intent, because it makes absolute shit for sense (so they all just go and hang out in a big cloud in the middle of nowhere, in lethally irradiated ships with gaping holes in them...), but it's what we got, and now the reavers are all gone.
