I had no idea there was such drama with Cave Story or that company that I have never heard about until now.

I don't think there is a drama. At least a cursory google search didn't reveal one. Can someone provide a good article on this?

From what i understand, some people seems to claim that the "Nicalis" company that made the various commercial version of the original (and free + still available) Cave Story had "stolen" the game from its original developer , Pixel.

I guess those claims probably mostly appeared because it looks like that Nicalis company seems to be the nest of a lot of controversies and nasty practices .

But whatever is with Nicalis , it seems unrelated to the Pixel situation, as he's getting royalties from the sales that Nicalis do, that situation is described in that serie of twitter, with links and etc..

So it looks like people are mixing what is going on with Nicalis that sounds very bad and the situation between that company and Pixel that sounds like a normal business.
