Cave Story announced for the 3DS

While the 3DS stuff isn't great news, he mentioned in the interview that he wants to do a sequel to Cave Story. Yay.

I heard about that!  I don't care at all about the 3DS, but a sequel to Cave Story sounds excellent(unless its on the 3DS, as I do not have one). ;)

Also, I believe this is the reason why IndieBattle won't have Quote/Curly. Something about Nintendo claiming it's their IP now.

Personally I think its silly.
It is the Virtual Boy with SHINY NEW GRAPHICS. Apparently it still causes eye strain.  ::)

This is either going to be THE reason to get a 3DS, or a huge flop. Here's hoping it's the first. Since Disuke will have imput about the music, I pray ti will live up to the bar, unlike the wiiware version.

 I thought Pixel stopped doing major game development to take care of his family? I guess Nintendo gave him a good deal on this.

It looks less like a sequel, and more like a remake.

 I do miss the pixels, but the new map screens are looking very sexy so far. It won't be the same sure, but it's looking quite nice.

The one announced so far is a Remake. But it was mentioned in the announcement that a Sequel is very likely to come after that.

The problem is that the characters are dirrect translations rather then stylised translations.

Though yeah... Quote looks pretty bad in either case.
