The King
« on: January 21, 2011, 08:38:07 pm »

So, I got a message that the king has arrived with his full entourage and now I am a mountainhome. But as soon as he enters the map he dies of old age. Is there any way to get a king now?

How about making a peasant the new king? Unassign him all labors, and build him a royal bedroom, dining, tomb, ect?

I believe it's one king per civ, after world gen stoppage.
Next time become mountainhomes quicker  ;D
Seriously though, check legends and select a civ with youngest and most healthy one before starting. World gen can inflict them inconvenient wounds as well.

How old was he?

With [SLOW_LEARNER], dwarves probably don't sit around and talk anymore. They just stand in the same corner altogether, staring at each other, sticking their bearded lips out trying to make sounds. And giggling when someone actually says a whole word.

I have been working toward becoming the capital for awhile now.
Hopefully its not too late  :P.
Nothing like a beard aneurysm to but a damper on the monarchical arrival.

Max age for dwarves is 150 to 170.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
