It's not pi and it isn't 1745; however, I'm interested to hear the reasoning behind the answers.

No.

Also, note that I'm not going to check all the different base combination, in the event that an answer of letters actually works. The number is in base 10. Insert your own Douglas Adams joke here.

This riddle is really one that's meant to be the result of careful consideration by more than one person, so I recommend that everyone posts what they think of it. Especially because I want to see it solved!

I'm guessing it has something to do with the atomic numbers in the PTE.

It is an integer and a member of the counting numbers to boot.

It has nothing to do with atomic numbers.

There's three parts to the riddle, the first tells us what kind of number (or what it represents) while the second section provides the information needed to figure out which number it is. The third section is just responses.

I was thinking it is a year. There is a metric unit for time (s), but a year is not a SI unit, so up and down in unit size I guess. After the number, anno domine, and more correct and in English, Common Era.

Then I picked a year based on 13, 7 and 135, each was somehow related to a forth of the number, one digit each maybe… and then my boss walked by so I guessed something and left it at that.

How did 135 come into play anyway?

I'm not sure how 135 came into play, but 7 and 13 were both placed into consideration pretty early on, with 7 being a generally lucky number (my third favorite number actually, because it's 26/4 rounded up) while 13 is half of 26 as well as all sorts of things.

I do believe that Heliogabalus may be on to something though . . .

It is not 1661. Figuring any of the entries in the third paragraph will almost crack the riddle.

451 fits the third paragraph pretty well, and some parts of the first paragraph.  I can't fit it to the second paragraph though.
