Arrange to go with John to the party, I'm not sure what to infest him with though. Also, when the zombie attack curffew is over cautiously seek out the person who left thier contact details in the toilets. Infest them too with whatever the others think best.

Go to the party and infest as many people as possible. Don't forget to infest some with mantises. The zombies could pose a threat.

If that is the case give me actions to cover Friday and Saturday.

Collect more birthing proteins and use them to grow some more larva, preferable of the mantis variety, to prepare for the upcoming party. In addition, interface with additional humans.

Try to live friday in a relatively noram human way, and try to be visible at many places and generally spend it cultivating an impression of normalcy.

The night after, try sneaking into the sewers, it might not work but if it does we might hit a motherload of genetic material.

The Saturday you should look out for collecting another heart, looking in the normal places for genetic material, and trying to infect some random professor. Also try to hang out some place new and research the social web more. Speaking of reserch and webs, see if there is anything to learn from the human global network.

Good point. Infest a few people with mantises and take them to the party with you.

Hatching is not an instantaneous process. You will be no safer with Mantis Pupa than you would be with anybody else watching your back.

Okay then, make sure to be extra cautious at the party, make sure our human mind does not drink and get 'drunk' until we are sure it is not a trap (when 'drunk' our human mind may be less likely to focus on staying alert), also see who's invited, if our undead counterpart or whoever staged the zombie attack is behind the party we may notice a large group of close friends arranging or invited in for no particular reason.
At any rate, we need to go, if it's a trap we should be able to work out who is behind it and possibly how powerfull they are, if not then we'll be able to advance our own plot.

Also keep on the lookout for suspicous behaviour, others may be gathering the humans to their sides for their own goals in and leading up to the party.

Nope. I said in the first post that is very low priority for me however. I'll try to get one up tomarrow, but if you don't see an update by then, don't expect one unit Saturday or Sunday at the earliest.

Friday

Try to live friday in a relatively noram human way, and try to be visible at many places and generally spend it cultivating an impression of normalcy.

You sleep until morning and then call up James to allow your human mind to ask him to spend the day with you. He agrees to meet with you as soon as the lock-down is called off. You get the all clear just after noon, and James arrives in his car to take you out to town shortly afterward. During the car ride he blabs on about the Leauge of Submission to Xyath, some new age human religion that James seems to have recently joined. He explains that Xyath, a god from another plane of existance, seeks to reshape humanity in his own image, and that according to prophecy the key to doing so lies somewhere on campus. He offers to email you the holy scripture of Xyath so that you may judge it for yourself; your human mind accepts.

Upon arriving in town the pair of you head to Popcorn Cinema; one of those cheap movie theaters that show movies several months old. Your human mind wants to watch The Hangover, while James argues in favor of consuming Inception. Eventualy the pair of you reach a compromise and decide to watch Toy Story 3.

In the darkness of the theater James attempts to steal a kiss. You allow him to do so in fear that resistance would reveal the rigid nature of your body. You swab the spot on your cheek where he pecked you and then stick your finger into your mouth to obtain a genetic sample.

After the movie James treats you to a meal at a human fast food joint before returning you to campus.

Collect more birthing proteins and use them to grow some more larva, preferable of the mantis variety, to prepare for the upcoming party. In addition, interface with additional humans.

You call Horace and tell him to meet you after work with Janitors caution tape an a weapon if possible. You then set off to meet him at the first floor bathroom in the Crick Building, carrying Maria's knife. At the soon to be harvesting scene your son gives you his silenced pistol. You remove your clothes and place them in a bathroom stall so as to avoid getting blood on them and then wait in the bathroom for a victim to arrive.

Your victim turns out to be a campus police officer. She is armed, but your pistol is already drawn: You put a bullet through her head as soon as the door closes. You then tear into her with your knife and consume her heart, knowing that Horace is watching the door and keeping potential witnesses away. Your body informs you that the meal was worth 5 units of birthing protien, bringing the grand total of protein available to you up to 11. Your human interface system informs you that it is ready to level up once again.

You claim your victims gun, and return Horace's weapon to him.

You wash yourself clean and put your clothes back on. You tell Horace to resume his regular human activities until you contact him again.

cautiously seek out the person who left thier contact details in the toilets. Infest them too with whatever the others think best.

You call the number provide. The person on the other end picks up on the first ring. After a quick conversation you find that she is interested in having romantic encounters in amazing places. She claims to have the key to the bell tower and would like to perform unspeakable actions upon you at dawn. You agree to meet her.

Deciding to play out the encounter cautiously you bring your Matter Fragmenter to the bell tower. You produce marking pheromone and a Mantis Larva as you wait for your date to arrive. Eventually she shows up, wearing a bathrobe and holding an old looking bronze key. She unlocks the door and leads you up the spiral staircase to the the bell chamber; a small and cramped area the smells of earth avian droppings. She introduces herself as Cloe and pulls back her robe revealing naked flesh beneath it.

Over the course of the next two hours the two of you engage in on and off psuedo reproductive activity, interrupted only by the deafening roar of the bell. During the encounter you successfully mark and infest Cloe. You also obtain a viable sample of her genetic material. As you wrap up she comments that something about your body feel different and thrilling to her, and that she wouldn't mind meeting up with you again. You assure her that you will be seeing each other a lot in the near future.

You return to your dorm. You find Laura and Joan bedridden as your larva feed on their nervous system. Maria mentions that she just recently suffered a similar ailment, but is now better than ever. At around noon your latest protien harvest makes the news. The authorities are blaming the death on zombies, but refuse to lock down the campus again.

interface with additional humans.

By sundown your remaining suite-mates have become aware of their fate and begin to act submissive towards you. You take the opportunity and orally collect a genetic sample from each of them. You then brief them on your plan for the party situation:

You, Maria, and Laura will attend the party. Maria will hold your new gun, you will carry your advanced matter fragmenter, and Laura will move unarmed. Joan will be on standby to alert your other larva should Laura send a distress signal.

Once you finish your briefing you allow Laura and Joan to go to sleep and finish their development. You then spend the rest of the night and most of Sunday morning examining files on your computer.

The first thing you watch is the video of the Zombie Attack sent to you by Horace. It features a horde of about 10 decaying humanoids running up to the Hover building and tearing apart two well armed door guards. The zombies spend several hours pounding on the Iron door to no avail; eventually the slaughtered guards rise up and join the hoard. The assualt ends when a human male aproaches the undead crowd and lobs what appears to be an Overmind style plasma grenade into their midst. With a loud crack the zombies vaporize.

You note that potential Overmind operative resembles your Professor Joe, who invited you to the party. This revelation spooks you until you convince yourself that the picture is too low quality to make a positive match, and that a large gathering is a poor place for the subtle Overmind to try and assimilate others.

The next file you read is a list of notable Hoover building emploies, once again provided by Horace. You spend some time commiting all the names and faces to memory.

The final file you look into is the holy word of Xyath; a 1500 page document sent to you by James. The document mostly consists of likely fictitious tales of Xyath battling against other more regonized human dieties such as Jesus, Zeuse, and Thor. The document also contains a bit of biographical information about its author; a junior in the history program named Douglas Sweetchild.

The most intresting feature about the Xyath document however are several diagrams depicting the demon-gods plans for humanity. Several pictures show slimy tentacled humanoids that exist in at least five dimensions. Although you don't entirely understand the designs you get the sicking feeling that they are more advanced than anything the Arthropod Empire or the Overmind Republic could create. Mr. Sweetchild describes a device eerily similar to your MBRD that can rapidly turn the human race into an army of such absurd creatures.

Arrange to go with John to the party

When you finish your reading it is 11:00am on Sunday. The party starts in two hours. You call John and ask him to escort you and your friends to the event. He responds that he is too busy setting the party up.

The two offspring that you decide to bring with you spend the remaining time before the party perfecting their human appearance. You then spend all but one of your Birthing protien to create 4 mantis larva. You then set off for the party!

Do NOT interface with Joe, if he is an overlord agent or worse he'll gain information on you, making yourself a target. call campus authorities onto him using the meesage you received from him as evidence.
