basic windows-command-prompt-like stuff, Sudo (google it), manual process editing, realtime memory editing, halting, databasing, and lots of other advanced functions. not in usual linux, but on a debian-based supercomputer such as this i would expect that. oh, and a coffeemaker (i.e. java)

Lockdown is a script called by the security system to lock down the offices in case of a threat.

You hear a click and glance over. The security board has gone all red, indicating that every door in the office area has been locked. Huh... well you can probably undo that. You wonder why none of this stuff is secured, and why they have a script to lock the place down against a threat. What would threaten an underground office complex on an air force base? Oh well, you have a few more things to try.

The count is slowly rising. Your stomach growls at you, and you think you'd better go get some food. The system is unresponsive with the scan going anyway. You stand up and head over to the exit, and are surprised to find it locked.

Oh... right. Lockdown.

Maybe the maintenance guys keep a stash back here, you think to yourself as you start poking around. Behind one of the racks close to the wall you find a small overhead bin with several boxes of snacks and two sodas left. Jackpot!

On your way back with a few noms in hand, you notice a cable trailing out of the back of one rack. You didn't notice it before, intent on snackage, but this thing is as thick as your thigh and armored. Not only that, but the thing isn't just connected to the rack, it looks like the rack door was bent outwards so the cable had enough room. Huh... crazy maintenance guys. You don't think that rack has anything to do with the system you're working on, as several projects are hosted from here.

I realize you probably couldn't run the antivirus with all processes continually being killed but I'm handwaving that as the AV being run from another location or something. I don't want the game to get bogged down by being too technical.

The system stops, literally mid-word. The words "System Halt" scroll across the screen in red, and you move your hands away from the keyboard in surprise wondering if you accidentally touched something. Suddenly a loud CRACK emits from the rack in front of you, startling you so badly you knock over your soda. As you curse and move to pick it up, you hear the fan racks die. That's not good...

You look around, having retrieved the soda without too much spillage. You are still quietly chewing on a snack, but the room is dead silent. It wasn't just your rack that went out, all of them have gone quiet.

Amazingly, the maintenance terminal flickers back to life. Several lines of odd nonsensical text flow by..
