Stop fooling about, go to the nearest terminal and pull up a map of the ship.

Waste more precious time double-checking the area for Psiotonin.

There is probably Psiotonin in your residence. Go there.

Why yes, that is the Metroid screw attack powerup on the right:

First order of business: check the other metal things in case they contain a bomb powerup.  Or a Maru Mari.

Next . . . the memory chips are probably useless stuff lost over months or years, but it couldn't hurt to scan through them.  If one was dropped by the usurpers, it might contain archived messages or something detailing their plans.

After/concurrent with that, do what these other folks are saying.

Can't she psi sap the dead bodies for more power? Shoot these sectoids have been dormant the entire time on the ship so their bodies should be psi-power sponges you can wring out. Check for a camera in the room destroy it then change your clothes to another dead sectoid and hide in the piles of dead bodies until the security comes or TQ-01 and TQ-02 get here. or the fun route Alpha equip Screw attack and start shooting up space pirates.

You expediently acquire a terminal from one of your deceased former crew.
You're certain they won't mind sharing.

You attempt to bring up a map of the ship but the terminal's domain
appears to be restricted to a single elevator.
Looks like the one under the northern hangar near the teleporter.
Not much good this will do you.

You insert the three chips.

Chip the first contains the running files for an incomplete videogame.
It seems strangely violent for something that a Sectoid would program.
It is also extremely buggy.

Chip the second contains a large number of poorly conceived and written poems
dedicated to various minutia of spacefairing life. There seems to be hundreds of these things.
Anyone who writes a sonnet about the cosmic lamprey needs a reality check.

Chip the third is a video log about an elevator maintenance specialist named TH-04566432460
You've watched the first minute of the first video file and find this Sectoid to be uninteresting.

You wonder if you haven't missed anything.

You decide it can't hurt to look to see if you missed any Sectoids.

Glox, you spy a military Sectoid in the doorway.

He doesn't seem to have spotted you.
He's too horrified at your previous vulgar display of power.

What do you do?

Should've done Mcguyver but that's more TQ-02's thing and I figured the story would move  faster this way.

Huh. Do any of the military Sectoids have weapons on them? I'm thinking that if they do, we should mind bullet the guy, and then pick up one of the weapons for later use.

Else, no idea.

Get up to him while he's paralyzed in fear and knock him out with a punch to the face.

And for once, try not to kill him. He's not worth it.

Huh. Do any of the military Sectoids have weapons on them?
He appears to only have shoulder pads.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Recruit him as a new minion. Inquire as to his name and rank.

We're already low on psionics, and he's paralyzed in fear. I don't think mind bullets are the best option.
