Big Macintosh is the other speaking male character.

Doctor Whooves is rapidly becoming a common background character, and I wouldn't be all that surprised if he got a speaking role (and real name) next season.  And of course there's the random jerk characters who are almost exclusively male.

And yeah that is the canonical triangle, though it's more of an "Awww so cute!" + puppy love thing.

Buuut it's not the male characters I'd be shipping.

Yeah. I'm like 4 episodes in, so nyeh.

I knew you'd be shipping the plethora of females. Just pointing out the possibility for them being canon is slim to none. Also, I could totally see Twi warming up to Flutter.

Fluttershy is just so quiet.  Of course Twilight would like her.  Yeah, I could see that working out.

Don't get me started on Rainbow Dash and Gilda's history back at school, though.

What on earth are you on about? Since when do you need males for shipping? ??? You can just pair a regular pony with a unicorn.

I was just pointing out that there was a shortage of males in the show for het ships. If you read a few posts past that, you see me jumping on the bandwagon.
