Someone needs to take that ball and run with it.  Specifically, they need to run in the opposite direction from "Hmm, rent this month is $100 and I'm a little short.  Let me stroll to the park and pick up a couple shiny rocks, and now I can pay rent and have enough left over to buy a flatscreen TV."  Also, "I love the outdoors, I hate messy rooms, I love to socialize, and I'm generally a grouchy person.  But you can lock me in a small room with a bed, refrigerator and toilet indefinately, with no people, no windows, and a horrible mess...as long as there's magical incense from three different countries!  I'm happy FOREVER!"  Swear to God those things are like legendary dining rooms.

Modding is not enough.  I'm hoping to find a from-scratch thing that I can screw with the source of.

I remember reading about La Vida on the Ubuntu Forums when I used to check those. Whether it's usable or not, I don't know.
