That falling sensation is caused by an involuntary muscle twitch as one falls asleep, called the hypnic jerk. It's theorized to be a reflex that occur in response to physiological changes in our body and muscle relaxation as we fall asleep.

I can sense myself twitching while lying in bed, but it usually occur while I'm awake and so it doesn't startle me awake. Maybe the falling sensation is linked to if you have trouble relaxing your muscles soon enough, since it's correlated with irregular sleep patterns.

Marathon Infinity, it's a really old mac FPS by Bungie.  They released it for free, and there's an open source cross-platform engine called Aleph One.

It looks like Doom but it's full of computer terminals and complicated story about Rampant AIs.  Nowadays I usually just browse the story page.

The first two games were pretty cool Halo-ish stuff, the third game (Infinity) went super surreal with the sort of stuff I posted.  And "eternal hero" and time travel, and at some points you're fighting *for* the aliens in order to hunt down the correct time branch...  it's pretty crazy.
They were already crazy when they made Pathways Into Darkness, though.  It's story page is... also good.

Ordered tickets to a concert in Poland.

I've been to, like, two concerts in my life... One was when I was about 6-7 years old and I slept through most of Andrea Bocelli, another was a small one-off with The Stone Roses that my buddy really wanted to go see, so he set up everything with tickets and whatnot.

Never ordered my own tickets before, never been to a concert this big, never been to Poland. More than just a little anxious right now.


Guess I can grab a bottle of nice vodka while I'm there, eh? Fuck, my shrink's gonna love this...

Don't worry, the locals are more interested in hating each other than anyone else. Eat mayonnaise, sausage, pickles and wash it all down with vodka and you basically get the full experience.

Yeah, and the Polish have been German (as in Austrian or Prussian, both of which are types of German) or Russian for long periods of time (at least as far as the Germans and Russians are concerned).
