Actually I presume S one quotes from that one play actually titled "the Thunderstorn" or whatever (or am I misremembering entirely?) would be more fitting but I only know by heart Shakespeare quotes that appear in Total War loading screens.

Basically she's not wearing enough clothes in an attempt to look good, which is stupid because she'll not be warm. Sets her up as artificial, etc. It reminded me quite strongly of the young uns lining up outside Nightclubs, their dresses up around their thighs and shivering away.

To be fair, Lear is only saying it so that his daughters will let him have knights - they have frivolous clothes, why can't he have expensive and useless knights?
