Barely in topic, I always feel that horror games get kinda lame when you're given ways to actualy fight the supposedly scary things, which is exactly why I think people will stop thinking resident evil 6 is SUPAH SCARY once they gain hold of a shotgun or something.

Who the hell cares about deformed female zombie redneck people when you have a shotgun?

Silent hill is also kinda guilty of this. O mai, supah scary vagina monster, I am terrified, now come closer so I can perform certain acts upon you with this rusty crowbar that will make Freud's corpse vibrate with glee.

I mean, not all games to have to take the amnesia route and leave you completely helpless, its ok to give people a way to fight back, but said way of fighting back shouldn't be so great as to completely eliminate all threats, or else it just becomes resident evil (hello hello, The Evil Within).

I still prefer that sort of game. I can handle spooky scary monsters a lot better if I have a big goddamn gun to fire at them. This is how I conquered my fear of zombies: Lots of playing L4D and using a shotgun.

The best part of horror games is the feeling of helplessness. That's the best kind of fear. The fear that you know you have no control over other than an observer, and an escapee.

And, of course, Everything.

My spooks today were from my brother watching movies in his room as it is currently 3am. I keep thinking the voice is my dad standing outside the door, and my dad has been a figure of my nightmares since I was even younger, even though I don't really fear him.

_{I've spent around 4 hours in bed, depressed, doing nothing but not moving--thinking. And then many intrusive thoughts came around. Dark intrusive thoughts with irrational belongings. And that was figurative in both terms of the word. I felt better afterwards though. But this has been happening at least once per two weeks in average. I don't count the days but I recall things very vividly. :/ And then I've a...fear? of posting about things personal to me, albeit I have few to talk to, during these times. My counselors have all shifted or retired--I don't know the new ones, but I enjoy their presence all the same. But I miss them all, and cherish their memory as inspiration.}

Sup in Tiruin-life? Sorry to hear about the ruminating thing, that sucks, try not to fall into the trap. Do anything, anything else than be alone with your thoughts at those times. Thought suppression is actually an effective strategy in that instance.

Yeah, girls are so scary! It'd help if they weren't so much bigger and stronger. Their homes are so nice, but they're like traps! They got all that poison too, and they throw hair into your eyes! And if you ever convince one to sleep with you, they cannibalize you during the act, like what the hell? This isn't fair at all!
