I know where to find Putnam. I'd just need $40 for the gas to go kidnap him.

Today I was terrified by the lack of terror within this thread.

Brit, NW England. Think Graknorke perhaps is closest to me, tho that's just a hunch based off stuff he's said.

But yeah, I'd be terrified of a Bay12 meet up :P
Despite which I'd still probably attend.

And there's chaos when push comes to shove, but it's music to my ears.

I can't help but feel you scream, tourettes-like, "TILDE!" after every sentence.

A meetup might be fun, but there's only one Northern Irish Bay12er other than me I know of (Darkling Wolf, I think?), so then I'd have to catch a boat/plane to England.

The ~'s are more of a tone modifier.

"Hello."

"Hello!"

"Hello?"

"Hello~"

All are very different in tone.

I still read it as "Hello TILDE!"

Yes. The tone in particular being "grammatically incorrect".

I've always read the tone as "weeaboo and/or furry".

So far I haven't been wrong.

I've always heard it as a companion to putting music notes next to your words, sort of "small girl enthusiasm" crossed with a bit of musicality. It's the voice some people use to say "Coming" when the doorbell rings, for example.

It's also the voice creepy fucking stalkers use when they're trying to sound suave.

It always implies sexy voice to me.

Which gets creepy as heck when it's just randomly substituted for an exclamation mark, which I also deem was the origination of its inhuman usage as end punctuation.
