It's just the fact that there's been three crashes in a week! Especially of airliner types.
To be fair, one of those was shot down, not an accidental crash.

They accidentally collided with a missile. Then fell down a flight of stairs.

Never, ever play Animal Crossing at midnight.

So, I figured I'd lay around and play some relaxing AC: NL before going to sleep, right? After around 11, though, it gets tense. You've got the relaxing music playing, but just strolling an inch too close to a tree with a beetle on it leads to it startlingly buzzing off, making you jump in your seat. At midnight, this freaky music starts playing. And the worst part is the tarantulas and scorpions. They're really rare, but they make a sound just like footsteps. That harmless chipmunk around the corner? Could be a face-eating monster.

Then you boot it up the next day and it's all fine and dandy.

One of our cats jumped off my bed and I saw something fall on the floor as she dashed away...a spider. As the spider runs off, a cloud of black dots slowly expands from that point...innumerable baby spiders...

Don't think I'm going to sleep tonight.

It's too late, now. Just burn it all. It's the only way to be sure.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Sounds like those robots that are formed by lots of little robots, or Portuguese Man-o-Wars.

fuck ebola virus, fuck it long, fuck it hard, nothing scares me more than that disease.
IT'S SPREADING INTO MULTIPLE MAJOR CITY CENTERS
ONE MAN INFECTED WITH EBOLA BROKE OUT OF QUARANTINE AND IS AT LARGE
EBOLA RECKONING IS NIGH [if confirmed]
Of note, one of the blokes infected died in an airport. There's a fair chance it's going international.
Why isn't this in the terrified thread?  This makes me terrified.  Now I'm on google news and I'M EVEN MORE TERRIFIED.
I have no idea what you're talking about, it is on the terrified thread

...so according to the article, there was a dude with ebola, who flew into Lagos, on a plane, which has very close contact amongst lots of people in a sealed chamber high in the air for hours at a time before releasing them back amongst the world, and this guy collapsed in the airport of a highly populated city, which probably had lots of other people coming and going and possibly coming into contact with the disease before spreading it further, just in that one day.

What is this, Plague Inc? Is this the plot of some cliche horror movie? Because this sounds like it could get really bad.
