I was cooking some rice today and while I was eating some weird smell appeared. I went to the kitchen just to see my wooden cutting board and a plastic bowl smoking and burning because I somehow managed to put it on the stove (which I didn't turn off of course.)

A few days ago I managed to leave the stove running for the whole night. :x

I'll now have to face the physical terror of surgery and recovery, but that's miles better than the dread I'd been carrying around. Hurray, I suppose.

Eh, recovery isn't that bad, I'm in the middle of it right now. I had a hernia surgery on Monday. It honestly wasn't that bad, and that's coming from someone who hates IV's.
