Holy shit.
I was just out walking with a friend in a snowstorm. It's snowing really hard (we're supposed to get up to 15 cm) and visibility is really low, but it's not that cold or windy so it was fairly comfortable and neat to walk through.

We'd been going down the street for about ten minutes and suddenly there was a bright flash that lit up everything for a few seconds, followed by extremely loud thunder.
I have a fairly major fear of being struck by lightning, so I noped out and immediately jogged back home with my friend trailing behind. Lightning/thunder happened twice more in the few minutes it took to get home.

A few minutes after I got back, three firetrucks pulled out of the nearby fire station with sirens going. Probably unrelated, but maan.

I just looked it up and apparently this is called a Thundersnow. That's actually really great.

I've seen this before.  It was the most amazing drive ever.  It was not too long after dark.  There had just been a major snow/ice storm earlier in the day, but at the time the air was super clear.  Like how night time looks on a movie set, where it's dark but there's that sourceless ambient light over everything.  EPIC towering dark clouds in the sky.  Most of the city's power was knocked out, so the only artifical lights were all the stop lights that were stuck blinking red.  And the sky was cracking with almost constant lightning, that somehow wasn't generating any thunder.  And the lightning was all kinds of crazy colors.  Rich reds, greens, and blues.  It looked unreal.  Like a painting of the apocalypse.  Most unforgettable 20 minutes of driving ever.

Or rather, it will randomly come out of sleep mode if left alone for long enough, and I forgot to turn it off properly.

My dad asked me to unscrew the back framey bit for one of our flats screens, so I did.
I tried to pry it off (and failed, the input board on the bottom right corner garanteed that) and later discovered that I had a cut on each middle finger thanks to said prying.
