Oh-yea, I've seen some bandit ambushes

As you can see, several were stacked on some tiles, and there were more incoming. They didn't try to shake me down, they just directly attacked. And that speed wasn't because I was burdened; I had set it to stroll while hanging out at a tavern, and forgot to raise it again.

For me it was the same bandit faction each time, this faction had it out for me for killing that guy earlier it seems.

Me too, but paying the warlord a visit put a stop to it. I don't remember how I dealt with this one, but it left a lasting impression, either figuratively or literally. If it's the one I channeled out the ground around, then it left a lasting depression, too.

Might be a DF Wanderer specific question, but, butchering animals isn't giving me any skins for some reason. Bug? Am I just doing something wrong? I haven't been on in a while and it's a new version.

Vampires are much more durable than the average suicidal companion. I had one that survived all the traps in a tomb and led him, already bleeding and crawling, across a tile beside the tomb. The mummy gave him a friendly greeting, but when the skeletons attacked me, he attacked back ("This is my fight, too!") I think even if he did get the curse he would've lasted longer than any other companion. I suppose I could've gotten extra credit if I let the mummy animate him before killing them both.

Seems wasteful to just kill him yourself.

well considering you can take his blood and feed it to your other companions, you might as well kill him(make sure to buy any armor he may have and any useful weapons he has)

I'm not 100% sure which WF derivbitive that is, but I recll at least one version had some oddball reactions for furry and feathered hides, that might be the cause. :V

Every once in a while I see tents full of humans, sleeping all day/night, outside of hamlets.  I havent tried to wake them up beyond talking to them.  Should I pinch them?  Are they exhausted refugees?

No, they'd all try to kill you. Yes, they're bugged refugees (or armies if they're mostly armed). I'm not sure if Toady has fixed the "army camp" bugs entirely.

Is there a way to see a verbose listing of my heros stats, skills, and attributes like DT gives in fort mode?

Just started giving Adventure Mode a go and I'm loving it. It actually feels a lot more manageable than fortress mode.

Quick question: when a NPC points me to speak with another NPC who may know more about clues to quest, and yet the NPC doesn't know who that is some how, is there a way for me to search for the informant NPC, or do I just have to keep asking other people?

I find that human nobles often know where stuff is, or at least more likely to know someone who does know

Just to make sure, it is actually possible to die from no sleep, thirst and hunger right? I've just kind of assumed It happened and never went hungry long enough

Hunger or thirst, yes. It takes a bloody long while, at the very least you'll have the hungry and thirsty indicators change to starving and dehydrated beforehand.

For sleep, I'm not sure.
