Steel [sword/shield] vs -Bronze [sword/shield]-
« on: November 13, 2010, 07:27:52 am »

How much better are steel blades vs bronze blades?  Because if it's less than two times better, I should probably upgrade from the steel short sword I'm currently using to the -bronze long sword- I found in a shop.

Thanks in advance.

You forget that a longsword is much better than a shortsword. So do it.

What about a steel shield vs -bronze shield-?

I like to stove heads in with my shield, so I use the heavier bronze. After a bit of groundhog shield training I haven't failed to block anything significant.

Shield composition doesn't seem to matter when blocking attacks, and sword composition only matters when you're penetrating tough materials or thick body parts.

Just get it, on principle alone...

You should show more dedication to your violent deeds - And silver makes for much cleaner cuts against the flesh of the inferior.
