The dwarven deity of birth, pregnancy and family is named Girtol the Garish Date. Girtol most often takes the form of a male dwarf, presumably one with a questionable dress sense.

Ushat Vathez, "The Basement of Virgins"

The Basement of Virgins was a dwarven civilization of the Plane of Griffons.  It's been plagued by ettins (five), hydras (nine), bronze colossi (three), shadow creatures (two), rocs (eleven), dragons (seven), trolls (two), zombie rocs (two), shadow trolls (two), monsters of shadow (two), and monsters of the night (two).  It was finally routed, in the early spring of 98, by the hydra Asas Matchduty the Fame of Pulp.  It had twelve monarchs in 98 years.  That's an average of eight years per monarch.  Yeesh.  This is on the North America world-gen, so maybe that's what actually happened!

Fortress called soakedwalls. Sadly i abandoned it due to accidentally embarking in an area with no other civs before I could accidentally flood it with an atempt at using the river to make an underground tree farm.

A bronze battle axe was just named Polishdabbled the Tragic Butterfly by one of my dwarves.

Not sure why, but I find this hilarious.

Because battle axes are shaped like butterfly wings?
