I'm not subscribed to any channels and all I get recommended is music videos and things directly in the same vein of what video I am already on.

Same. I don't even log in to my Google account, much less subscribe to anything, and all I get are music, political, and the occasional video related to what I've recently watched.

I also tend to do a lot of watching in Incognito mode, which only gives videos based on what was watched in that Incognito session which goes away when closing the Incognito window(s), and doesn't affect my non-Incognito recommendations.

Why can't I find a marker that works on cardstock/Dominion playing cards.  I can literally rub the ink off with my finger, gently.

Modern instantly-drying ink relies on the surface being able to absorb it. If the cards have a water-resistant coating, one option is to let the ink dry (may take several minutes) and then spray some fixative on it.

Edit: or if you don't want to be fancy, you can use a crayon.

Use a needle to poke holes through it in the pattern you want. Let's see that rub off!

Then you'd be able to guess what it is from the other side. That's the problem with the creased cards, I think.

I have poked holes in my finger.  The card is now covered in smudged ink and blood.

I don't think you were actually supposed to take that advice.

Merely scuffing the cards would make them hold ink better.

Depending on the surface it wouldn't even need that. This is just about scuffing up the slick coating on cardboard. Coarse sandpaper is for wood, and would be complete overkill here. A fingernail can take a sticker off, it's enough to scuff a thin piece of cardboard.

I think it is intentional that the cards are hard to write on. Being playing cards and all.

But another thing which could be done with the needle is to scratch them, then put the ink in the scratches.

That's a good idea: hold the needle at an angle to the card on a table, and scuff it back and forth (lightly) over the area you want to write on. Doesn't have to be too hard either, I'd say, just enough to leave small scratches in the surface.

They're spare "blank" cards for a specific game, either for home brew cards or for replacing damaged cards.  I'd imagined you are supposed to write on them at some point.
