What Doomblade said. I specifically mentioned "avocado" in an attempt to avoid confusion, but alas. I would have chosen their vegetable tempura roll, but this place puts mayo on those for some reason.
I keep meaning to have a go at mastering the art of making sushi rolls (without any dead fishies, obviously), but I haven't got around to it yet.

Also the roll in question was airport sushi, not airplane sushi. I'm not actually waiting on the plane for 5~ hours. That would be awful. Well, even more awful. D:

Airport stuff is just as bad, though I haven’t ever been in an Aussie one.

But yeah, like I say, they put avocado in with the meat in all the sushi places I have eaten. If you had just said avocado roll, there would’ve been no confusion :p

Surprisingly there was upon a time that an it tech could get to go with his gf to eat sushi once every other month here. Back then we loved the tempura tropical roll and the wakame salad with salmon, crab sticks, fried shripms and assorted stuff I don't know how are called.

Avocado always looked unpleasant, when I was a kid watching adults in their strange habit of smearing this green goop onto slices of toast to eat.

As soon as I tasted it myself, though, it all made sense and I metaphorically kicked myself for not having tried this bright, wondrous morsel sooner.


Re: the term 'sushi', what we refer to as such over here is a bastardised version of the dish that is basically nothing like actual Japanese sushi - and vastly superior, obviously.

Nah, they're more about the whole ripping your soul out your ass thing, but eating people looks to have been on the table. Also rape and less consumptive murder, heyo. Other stuff, too. Could also be pretty chill turtlemonkey things, but those jokes probably weren't jokes.
