We're essentially profiting off of Remembrance Day. It makes me feel like one of those slimy, moral-less scam artists/businessmen you see in movies. I know it's for scouts, and we even are working with the Legion, but it still feels kinda dubious.

I don't think that would be disrespectful IMO. Sort of like how selling chocolate bars isn't exclusive to elementary schools, I feel like you could give out poppies for like, breast cancer or something too.

Also, aren't the scouts non-profit?

Oh wow. Missed it by a week or two, but apparently they've finally finished translating the Far East of Eden Zero, an old SNES rpg that was what seemed to be more or less the technical bastard of the system so far as hacking (and thus translation) went.

Could swear they've been clawing at that thing for more of my life than they haven't, but they've done it. Surprise and a half, I didn't really think the work on it would ever be finished. Nice surprise, though, heh.

Apparently that ~$500 pre-assessed electric bill I mentioned the other week has turned into a $700 one that my stepdad wants me to pay for much of. My usage of electricity(note: utilities besides internet are covered by my rent as per verbal agreement, also I think Social Services has it on file) is probably fairly small compared to theirs. While I do own several more electronic devices(PC being one, being in sleep mode when I'm not on it), they're generally running their TV, radio, and more recently, heater, all day and my stepdad does admit to doing laundry most of every day. How they need to do that much laundry I don't know, my laundry bill at the laundromat is $5/week plus soap.
