If there is one thing that is so far really sad about Feral children, it is that they seem to have low chances of being happy after being reintroduced to humanity.

Are you suggesting they should be put down you monster

They'll be happier in the zoo.

Yeah, there was a time where (IIRC) there was a group of pygmy people kept in a New York zoo.

You know in spite crime being SUPER rampant in Payday 2's universe...

I also in a WEIRD twist... the USA's economy is the strongest it has ever been.

It is like "Ok, so crime is terrible... but on the other hand I'd be able to afford a great house"

Also applying Fridge Logic... Both Power Ranges and Scooby Doo Where Are You? Take place during a depression.

---

Though the best is Case Closed (AKA Detective Conan)

Where the Murder Rate in Japan is insanely high! So much so that every person in Japan must have experienced a murder at least a few times a year at best.

https://www.reddit.com/r/manga/comments/1w1vpv/the_number_of_people_killed_in_detective_conan/

According to this, there are about 1000 murders in Case Closed's various franchises, and the story so far is supposed to be less than 1 year worth of time! e.g. Detective Conan encounters murders at breakfast, lunch and dinner every day without fail!

You'd think that the Japanese government would weaponize the poor kid by now, and send his as a spy to work in the government offices in North Korea. Killing off 1000 NK officials a year through his murder-magnet curse would be a powerful weapon.

Who says they'd necessarily be the ones responsible for all the bad stuff that goes on in that nation?

Plot never settles for such an easy resolution to conflict.

And mind you! Case Closed doesn't justify this by having him go out to murders except in very few instances.

There is this other series I have only heard of... But the premise is it takes place in a hamlet and a murder occurs there every episode.

However, over time there have been so many murders that this hamlet must have begun depopulating.

Not really all that different from any US police show. Law and Order and CSI both featured at least one DB per episode, which means they took place in an alternate reality where the murder rate was absurdly high.

Once again Case Closed doesn't justify this by having the main character be a detective who goes to murders, or is being used as a eye witness for a future murder. Conan stumbles upon them, regardless of what he is doing.

Law and Order and CSI are about cops and/or investigators. So they are called specifically to investigate murders... and the rate on the show isn't excessive. (Heck, if every episode took place one day after the other it would be only SLIGHTLY higher than the actual murder rate)

Midsomer Murders? However in that, Midsomer is actually a county, not a hamlet. There are apparently 2.6 murders per episode there. They estimate that based on Oxfordshire county (where it's filmed), it would have a yearly murder rate 3 times the British average (assuming 1 year's worth of episodes = 1 year). However, it's more clearly based on Somerset (things like town naming conventions), which has 1.5 times the population of Oxfordshire, but Oxfordshire was much more conveniently close to London for filming. So it has a murder rate 2-3 times the UK average. Which actually makes it about twice as safe as the USA.

If you think about it, stray dogs are feral dogs.

If you think about it, stray dogs are feral dogs.

While this is true... When you are speaking to dog experts "Stray Dogs" are dogs who are socialized towards humans. Feral Dogs are dogs who lack human socialization.

The reason this is important is that Stray Dogs can be acclimated to people relatively easy, in fact they might need no effort.

Feral dogs, at least if they are an adult, require a lot more work and should only be handled by an experienced animal trainer... and even then they might never act like an ordinary dog.

Well if it gets too feral we can just call them mutant wolves.
